• The McGillycuddy’s Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range, which rises to over 1000 metres, are located here. At the foot of these mountains lie the world-famous Killarney lakes. Killarney National Park is a 10,236-hectare (26,000-acre) park located where the mountains wash down to the lake beaches, their lower slopes covered in woods. The area’s unique combination of mountains, lakes, forests, and waterfalls, set against a constantly changing sky, provides a breathtaking visual spectacle.

There is 24-hour pedestrian access to Killarney National Park throughout the year except for Killarney House and Gardens (8.00 am to 6.00 pm daily).
